Fishing Charters - Northern Territory
The Northern Territory has been Australia’s long time favourite fishing destination with a plethora of species available all combined with an historical and exciting getaway. Your options for fishing in the Top End are extensive with options ranging from half day harbour fishing to full day offshore fishing as well as a range of extended trips. The extended trips are usually between 2-7 days and you can do this either on-board an accommodation vessel or day trip with a land based camp. Some of the more popular areas to fish include Shady Camp, Arnhemland, Corroboree Billabong, Groote Eylandt or the Tiwi Islands but it all depends on your target species as to where you go and in what time of year.
There are 2 main seasons for Barramundi in the Top End which are known as ‘The Build Up’ which occurs between October and December and ‘The Run Off’ which occurs between March and April each year. In addition to Barramundi fishing the Nothern Territory is also a wonderful place to chase target species such as Queenfish, Golden Snapper, Giant Trevally, Black Jewfish, Red Emporer, Coral Trout and Cobia.
