Fishing Charters - Western Samoa
The beautiful island nation of Samoa is situated just across the International Dateline about halfway between Australia and North America. Samoa, like many Pacific Island nations, has miles of untouched fishing waters that have been proven to produce some incredible fish species for the keen angler including Blue & Black Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin & Dogtooth Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and all your favourite pelagic species. All of the species above can be targeted within day trips for up to 6 anglers due to the fishing grounds being so close to the harbour. Day trips not only allow you to fish the proven inshore grounds but also the wider grounds where reports of marlin up to 450kg have been made.
For more specialised trips we have the option to charter live aboard trips for up to 4 anglers which vary in length from 2-5 days and can be tailored to target the species of your choice. Some of the more common target species include Blue Marlin or Broadbill Swordfish with many other species in between. All charters depart from Apia Harbour in the capitol of Samoa and free transfers can be arranged from local hotels for you. These operators are IGFA accredited and prefer either catch and release or tag and release methods to support the sustainability of the fishing industry in Samoa.
